Mikaila Stevens is a Mi’kmaq beadwork artist, screen printer, graphic designer, and cultural educator currently based in Deshkan Ziibi (London, ON)

Flourish and Grow was launched in July 2019 as Mik’s creative outlet and way of connecting to those with stories like her own in a world that often feels overwhelmingly alienating. Through vibrant colour schemes and representational imagery inspired by the beauty of our planet and everything beyond, Mikaila creates and promotes artwork that shares stories and can reach across generations of viewers.

As a cultural educator, it’s Mik’s goal to create uplifting and inspiring spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds that can inspire participants to look inwards towards their own creativity and journeys to honour our stories of the past in the present for the future.
